Q. Do I have to format my book before sending material to you?
A. No. If you select either the Ultimate or Premier package, we will format and typeset for you. Remember however, that the packages are for straight text books with maybe a few images. If your book is a specialty item, such as a
coffee table type book with lots of color images, graphics, and special effects, then we'll have to provide you a separate bid.
Q. How many books do I have to order?
A. For print on demand you can order from one to as many as you want. With offset printing, the size and number of pages in your book will determine a minimum order, but usually expect a minimum of 1,500 to 3,000 copies.
Q.When and how do I pay for my printing?
A. We can arrange for credit card payment via PayPal, or accept a check prior to our work. One half of the total is expected up front. With POD the second half is due upon approval of proof. With offset, the payments are broken up into thirds.
Q. Where do you print?
A. Mostly in the USA. We can arrange printing in Canada, China, or India, but prefer to print in the U.S. Our U.S. offset prices are competitive with China print prices and quality is
at least as good if not better. Digital printing has made printing less expensive than in the past, since image coloring is now done via computer rather than with four or five layers of film that always required
additional labor for registration work.
